Over the course of history there have been cases of musicians who have had to adapt their music due to a disability, or who have sought other resources to be able to continue playing. This idea motivated the work presented here.
What we wanted was to have a group of composers at the pinnacle of the contemporary music scene and give them the task of creating suitable music for these musicians, in this case with a right-hand disability.
Music books for disAbilities (limited right hand)

Enrique Igoa, Santiago Lanchares, Sebastián Mariné, Ricardo Moyano, David del Puerto, Jesús Rueda, Ananda Sukarlan, Polo Vallejo and Edson Zampronha: are sensitised professionals who have allowed themselves to be guided by the information which both medical personnel and family members in direct contact with children with this condition have been giving them in response to the problems which have come up. This is a new challenge for these composers, which has been, in their own words, hugely stimulating and productive. This “less capable” right hand will be helped by a “normal” left hand in order to succeed in producing a work full of harmony and no less valid musically. The composers, albeit “simplifying” the work of the right hand, have not however compromised the sophistication and level of the pieces in any way, so that this collection will be useful material not only for musicians with mobility difficulties in the right hand but can also be studied and played by any musician with no mobility problems whatsoever.
The importance of music as an art form is unquestionable and for this reason access to it cannot be denied to anyone. It is society which must adapt to break down barriers and make music accessible to all. With this collection we present here we aim to demolish a first wall as the starting point to then continue further in the future.
